The Master of Biblical Studies (M.B.S.)

The Master of Biblical Studies is an academic graduate degree designed to train a student in biblical content, systematic and historical theology, missions, and evangelism. The goal of the M.B.S. is to prepare servant-leaders for an effective support role in the local church and in the work of missions. All M.B.S. classes will transfer into the M.Div. program.

The M.B.S. is open to qualified men and women with a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an approved four-year college or university and may be completed online or through resident classes at our Virginia Beach campus.

Students entering any of the educational programs offered by CBTS without an undergraduate Bible degree are required to read Basic Theology by Charles Ryrie and Basics of Biblical Interpretation by Roy Zuck.
