My wife (Lorie) and I are eternally grateful for Christ’s call on our lives to serve Him full-time in the local church context. He has allowed us to serve Him as a Youth Pastor (six years) and Senior Pastor (five years). What a blessing it has been to serve here at Colonial Baptist Church since 2005 as Dr. Davey’s Associate Pastor. It is a great joy to continue having a pastoral outlet as well as investing in the future leaders of Christ’s Church through Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Virginia Beach.
Dr. Newcomer teaches counseling and practical theology classes for Central. He has heart to equip others for discipleship and counseling and is working on developing a counseling concentration for our Master of Biblical Studies and Master of Divinity programs.
