STATEMENT OF ACCREDITATION
On October 10, 1995, Central Seminary was granted approval by the Commonwealth of Virginia to incorporate as a graduate, theological seminary. On April 17, 1998, the Council of Higher Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia approved Central Seminary to grant graduate theological education.
Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Virginia Beach is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [PO Box 328, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: 434.525.9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org] having been awarded Accredited status as a Category III institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on November 5, 2007; this status is effective for a period of 5 years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
